COVID-19 coaching information and resources

In keeping with sportscotland and Scottish Governing Bodies (SGBs) guidance, we are working to get our clubs back up and running while also planning for new activities. It is important that coaches, deliverers, volunteers, leaders, personal trainers and instructors (hereinafter referred to as “coaches”) are aware and can adapt to changes in guidance at short notice.

Back FC Coaching

Following the Scottish Government's easing of restrictions on the 24th March, whereby the Western Isles moved into Level 3, all our youth (under 18 years old) teams can train both indoor and outdoor once again. Adult (18+) indoor training is currently prohibited, however, outdoor non-contact only training is permitted.

Adult Coaching (18+)

Adult contact football training is currently prohibited. Only outdoor non-contact training is permitted within maximum 'field of play bubbles'. Please refer to SFA Level Three guidelinesUpdated 26th April 2021

For organised training, all numbers refer to maximum ‘field of play bubbles’. This includes players, coaches and officials.

  • 15 within a 1/4 size pitch area
  • 20 within a 1/3 size pitch area
  • 30 within a 1/2 size pitch area
