Defibrillator and Basic CPR Training
 
Members of the community are invited to attend a free training session in how to use the new defibrillator units at Back Community Hut and Back Football Club. Suitable for beginners and as a refresher. Training will last approx 2 hours.
 
Training will be held at: Back Community Centre, Upper Coll
 
Exact Date in January TBC. (Posters with dates will be on display in the community once the date has been agreed).
 

Gym inductions


Our community gym is now open Mon-Sat 24hrs a day. Annual membership is £50 + £10 security deposit for the key. You need to be aged 16 or over and have completed an induction before you can join the gym.

 

The following dates are available to book online through our website: Mon 6th Jan 7.15pm, Thurs 10th Jan 1pm, Mon 13th Jan 5.15pm, Thurs 16th Jan 1pm.

Friday 31st January  Move-Gluasad Performance.


Inspired by ancient keening rituals,  Move~Gluasad is a multi-story performance about migration, loss and the common human experience of grief.

Weaving multi-lingual storytelling, choral soundscape and Gaelic song, five women build a picture of the ebb and flow of people across the globe through the ages.

Move~Gluasad is the first production by Disaster Plan, a new company led by award-winning theatre makers Julia Taudevin and Kieran Hurley. 

International Women's Day 2020

Our celebration event for International women's day will be held on Saturday 14th March. So pop the date in your diary and don't miss out!

Back Art Together

 

A  monthly get-together for anyone interested in art.

Each session will start with a workshop/demo on a different skill or art form 10.30am-12.30pm.

Followed by a light lunch and social gathering to share and work on personal projects 12.30-2pm.

Boogie Bounce _ Next block starts 6th January

High energy, fun exercise routine on a mini trampoline.Beginners classes last approx half an hour, advanced classes last approx 50 minutes and include additional toning exercises.

  • Monday  Advanced 6.15pm ( 5 week  £27.50) 6th Jan - 3rd Feb
  • Saturday Beginners 9.30am (5 week - £21) runs 11th Jan - 22nd Feb (no classes on 25/1 or 8/2)
